I can never forget how God remembered me today. Waited half an hour for a taxi on this rainy day, and when I finally resorted to praying, He sent me a christian uncle who is also a Methodist and wise follower of God.

The journey from AMK to church seemed eternity, because I didn't want to listen to the uncle's preaching. But simple things, simple people, God uses them to tell big things.

He said, "God doesn't guarantee a safe journey on earth, but he guarantees a smooth journey."

How smooth? In the midst of the storm, through the wind and the waves, He'll still be faithful.

He told me, "Don't always pray that you wil find a good boyfriend, good husband, and do well in your studies. Don't go to church asking what He can do for you, but what you can do for Him."

All these I could have regurgitated it by heart, but I just failed to do the right thing.

He told me again, "God only wants you to seek Him and He will give you more than you can even ask for. Just seek Him first instead of focusing on yourself and your problems."

I so wanted to cry in the taxi, because by then I knew God was using the uncle to make my blind eyes see.

And so, I promised God in church, nothing is going to take me away from Him again. Not projects, not assignments, not tests, not family, not friends, not relationship, not anything in this world. And I'm going to tell Him again, I know He loves me and I would like to love Him back.

Finally, it was my turn to speak. I told him, "Uncle, you're just God-sent to send me to church and to talk to me. I'll see you in Heaven."

The uncle is handsome. Because he has God shining within him.
